Our engineer team is comprised of a large network of domestic appliance engineers located across the country. Many of our operations are handled by our remote, off-site teams, all of which are seamlessly connected using the latest technology.
What are we achieving?
As a company our aim is to use technology to deliver savings for consumers that will encourage repair of appliances rather than replacement, thus keeping more appliances out of landfill.
We believe that repairing an appliance is a choice many households make because it is resourceful, efficient, cost-effective, and eco-friendly.
Due to changes in consumer buying preferences over the past decade, domestic appliances are becoming cheaper and of poorer quality. This means more and more consumers see these goods as ‘disposable’ rather than ‘repairable’, and this is having a big impact on our environment, and the repair industry. We are trying to better the current marketplace.
UK consumers are currently discouraged when looking to repair large domestic appliances due to high cost of repair versus the cost of replacement, and this has to change.
The small (yet attractive) savings a consumer can make by replacing a large appliance (full of plastics, rubbers, chemicals etc.) comes at a great cost to our environment. It can be tempting to give up on your appliance when there are promises of free delivery, lengthy guarantees and flashy new buttons from all the leading retailers.
How we’re achieving it
We are developing the largest and most complex network of appliance engineers in the country to offer unrivalled coverage, value and service. We have developed a complex job assignment system that automatically assigns the best-suited engineer for every job, based on a number of factors.
By having more engineers, we can provide faster service, at better prices. The closer our engineers are to each repair location, the less fuel, time and travel is made, which is not only great for the environment, but also helps to minimise costs for consumers in order to further encourage repairs, and helps empower independent engineers with more localised and efficient routes, which means they can carry out more repairs per day, thus influencing the supply and demand of repairs.
